The party seeks shelter at the Red Moon Inn, where a drunken witch hunter raves of corruption in the Magistrate's office. A serving girl vanishes before dawn.
Following bloody footprints into the Chapel's undercroft, the heroes uncover a shrine defiled by the Purple Hand and a ritual already underway.
Burglary, blackmail, and a duel by candlelight. The party recovers a ledger naming a dozen conspirators — and one name they did not expect.
Pursued by hooded riders, the heroes flee north through the haunted Drakwald. A ruined coaching inn offers shelter — and something older still inside.

The trail leads to the Schaffenfest. Merchants gather, the comet burns bright, and a great evil prepares to be born in the warehouses by the river.
